Chinese flat steel export offer prices have indicated declines for most products over the past week, while prices of hot rolled plate (HRP) and shipbuilding plate have remained stable. At present, export offers for boron-added 5.75 mm hot rolled coil (HRC) given by Chinese suppliers are at $495-505/mt FOB, while export offers for 1.0 mm cold rolled coil (CRC) given by Chinese suppliers are in the range of $560-570/mt FOB.
During the given week, the decreases in Chinese domestic flat steel prices in the spot market have exerted a negative impact on Chinese flat steel export offer prices, while transaction activities for exports have slackened compared to the previous week. It is thought that Chinese flat steel export offer prices will likely fluctuate within a limited range in the coming week.
