Chinese flat steel export offer prices have indicated a slight downtrend for some products over the past week, namely for cold rolled coil (CRC) and hot rolled coil (HRC), while prices of other products have remained stable. At present, export offers for boron-added 5.75 mm hot rolled coil (HRC) given by Chinese suppliers are at $420-430/mt FOB, while export offers for 1.0 mm cold rolled coil (CRC) given by Chinese suppliers are in the range of $450-460/mt FOB.
During the given week, after previous significant declines, Chinese flat steel export offer prices have only indicated slight declines or moved sideways following the rebound seen in domestic finished steel and semi-finished steel prices. It is thought that Chinese flat steel export offer prices will likely remain stable or edge up slightly in the coming week.
