During the given week, demand for steel plate from downstream users has improved, exerting a positive impact on the domestic steel plate market. Steel plate inventories are being consumed at a more rapid rate, though they are at higher levels compared to the same time last year. Steel plate producers’ capacity utilization rates are at relatively high levels, while their order books have been filling up, which has provided support for steel plate prices. It is expected that steel plate prices in the Chinese domestic market will continue to move in an upward direction in the coming week.
