The Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC exports with their South American clients at a reference price of $740/mt, against $730/mt two weeks ago, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades.

In the Brazilian domestic market, HRC of the basic commercial grades is sold by producers, in medium to large volumes, at BRL 4,300/mt ($776/mt), ex works, full taxes except IPI, stable in BRL from six weeks ago, with increases expected to be ranging from 5 to 8 percent in January

In November, Brazil exported 35,800 mt of HRC, in average at $530/mt, while imported 70,000 mt at $525/mt, against respectively 49,600 mt at $653/mt and 7,900 mt at $472/mt in October, all FOB conditions.

USD = BRL 5.54 (December 26)
