The Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC exports with their South American clients in a reference price of $730/mt against $740/mt two weeks ago, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades.
In the Brazilian domestic market, HRC of the basic commercial grades is sold by producers, in medium to large volumes, at BRL 4,300/mt ($811/mt), ex works, full taxes except IPI, against BRL 4,400/mt two weeks ago.
In October, Brazil exported 49,600 mt and imported 7,900 mt of HRC against respectively 26,800 mt and 75,400 mt in September.
The exports of October were destined to Europe (28,300 mt at $452/mt), South American countries (15,400 mt at $499/mt), and the US (5,900 mt at $497/mt), FOB conditions.
The exporters were ArcelorMittal (48,200 mt), Gerdau (1,000 mt), and Usiminas (400 mt)
The imports came from China (6,400 mt at $527/mt) and South Korea (1,500 mt at $518/mt), also FOB conditions.
