The most recent import offer of CRC received from China by Brazilian importers was priced at $665/mt, CFR conditions for shipment to a port in the south or southeastern coast of Brazil, with the SAE 1008/SPCC grade as reference. This compares to an offer price level of $675/mt, same conditions, one month ago.

Brazil imported 27,500 mt of CRC in June, against 8,500 mt in May, according to the country’s ministry of industry, foreign trade and services, MDIC.

China was the main origin (26,300 mt at $616/mt), followed by Sweden (600 mt at $838/mt) and Taiwan (300 mt at $993/mt), while smaller tonnages were shipped from Japan and South Korea.

Meanwhile, Brazil exported in June 36,100 mt of CRC to the EU at $694/mt and 3,000 mt to South America at $801/mt, both FOB conditions with price deals probably closed in April.
