On August 16, Yunnan Honghe Steel - based in the southern Chinese province of Yunnan - successfully completed test production at its 800,000 mt capacity steel bar line.
The construction project, which began on November 18, 2006, has been completed in less than nine months, and 16 days ahead of schedule.
Yunnan Honghe is a subsidiary of Kunming Iron & Steel Company.
