Hebei Province-based Chinese steel producer Hebei Steel Group has announced that its subsidiary Xuanhua Iron and Steel (Xuanhua Steel), also based in Hebei Province, produced 34,000 mt of extra-fine-grain steel in February this year, marking the start of mass production of extra-fine-grain steel by Xuanhua Steel. The steel products in question are hot rolled ribbed steel bars with an improved welding performance due to their low carbon content.
