As of June 5, a few Turkish merchant bar re-rollers have kept their export offers unchanged at $625-635/mt FOB for late June-early July shipment, compared to May 22. However, additional discounts are applicable for serious buyers depending on the tonnage and the region. Moreover, the ongoing conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East continue to create uncertainty, disrupt trade flows and influence supply-demand balances across multiple regions. As a result, most international buyers are in a wait-and-see mode.
Meanwhile, the SteelOrbis Turkish import billet daily reference price stands at $510-530/mt CFR, down by $10/mt on the higher end over the past two weeks.
