Chinese state-owned enterprise China Metallurgical Corporation's (MCC) subsidiary China Huaye Group Co. has announced that phase one of Xinjiang special steel project of Chinese steel pipe producer Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipe Co., a subsidiary of Xinxing Cathay International Group, has been commissioned.
The project has a designated output capacity of 3 million mt special steel per year. The construction work on the project includes 1.2 million mt converter, 700,000 mt wire rod production facilities and 150 mt per hour heat treatment furnace.
