Wuyang Steel supplies steel plate for Beijing Daxing Airport

On August 3, Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Wuyang Iron and Steel Co. (Wuyang Steel), a subsidiary of Hebei Iron and Steel Group Co. (Hebei Steel Group), announced that it successfully produced the first batch of 1,200 mt of high-end steel plate for high-rise buildings, to be supplied for construction of Beijing Daxing International Airport. In June this year, Wuyang Steel won a tender to supply an overall volume of 8,000 mt of high-end steel plate for high-rise buildings for the construction of the airport in question.
 
Total investment in Beijing Daxing International Airport will amount to around RMB 80 billion ($12.07 billion). The airport will have runways, while the passenger volume is expected to total 100 million annually after completion.
