Wuhu Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes orders rod outlet

Austria-based plantmaker Siemens VAI Metals Technologies has announced that it will supply a new rod outlet for Wuhu Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes Co. (Xinxing), a Chinese producer of carbon products and steel pipes, for its plant in the city of Wuhu in China's Anhui Province.
 
With the new equipment, Wuhu Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes (Xinxing) will be able to extend its product portfolio to include rod products ranging in size from 5 mm to 22 mm in diameter and to enter the high quality and specialty steel markets. The project is expected to be commissioned in late 2012.
 
Wuhu Xinxing Ductile Iron Pipes (Xinxing) produces 2.6 million mt per year of ductile iron pipes and fittings, reinforcing steel bars and steel strips, steel grating and cast works.
