The Russian pipe producer Vyksa Steel Works (Vyksa) has completed the reconstruction of its electro-welded medium diameter pipe mill specialized in the production of pipes used in the oil and gas industry. The reconstruction of the mill was completed within 18 months and cost Vyksa more than Ruble 445 million ($17 million). The reconstruction of the electro-welded medium diameter pipe mill is a part of Vyksa's medium diameter pipe (MDP) complex reconstruction project, the implementation of which began in 2004. After its successful completion, Vyksa will be able to operate the new high tech facility for the production of MDP used in the oil and gas industry with a total capacity of 450,000 mt per year. The pipes will be in compliance with ISO and API standards.
