VAI assisting in TKS continuous annealing line project

Austrian Voest-Alpine Industrieanlagenbau (VAI) is assisting for the construction of a new continuous annealing line for the existing tinplate division of ThyssenKrupp Stahl in Germany, Rasseltstein Hoesch. The line is planned to have an annual capacity of 360'000 mts and launch production in December 2005. Before tin plating, the line will produce cold rolled strip in thicknesses between 0.15-0.3 mm and widths between 800-1.400 mm. VAI will provide all mechanical systems, an automation package and construction and start-up services as well as electrical systems to be supplied by VAI's subsidiary.
