On Wednesday the US International Trade Commission (USITC) filed two new trade cases-the first in more than a year and exactly the same number of cases that were filed in all of last year.

The cases are against bottom mount combination refrigerator-freezers from Korean and Mexico and certain steel wheels from China.

Whirlpool Corporation brought the case on the refrigerator-freezers-antidumping petitions against Korea and Mexico and a countervailing duty petition against refrigerator-freezers from Korea.

Accuride Corporation and Hayes Lemmerz International Inc. filed antidumping and countervailing duty petitions against steel wheels from China.
