US DOC issues amended final affirmative CVD duty determination and order against certain line pipe from China

On January 23, 2009, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the amended final affirmative determination of the countervailing duty (CVD) order on certain circular welded carbon quality steel line pipe from China.

On January 12, 2009, the DOC issued its Ministerial Error Correction Memo addressing the ministerial error allegations of Maverick Tube Corporation (Maverick)and United States Steel Corporation, the petitioners in the investigation, and of Huludao Seven Star Group, the respondent.

As a result of the correction for the ministerial errors in the calculations, the revised subsidy rates are listed in the chart below:
