US-based Northwest Pipe Company issues Q2 earnings

Portland, Oregon-based welded steel pipe manufacturer Northwest Pipe Company (Northwest Pipe) has released its earnings report for the second quarter of 2008.

According to the report, during the second quarter of 2008 Northwest Pipe Company registered record sales of $112.1 million, compared to $101.9 million in the same quarter of 2007, and also achieved a record net income of $8.4 million, up 47 percent from $5.7 million for the corresponding period of the previous year.

During the period in question, Northwest Pipe Company's income before tax amounted to $14 million, while its operating income reached an estimated $15.3 million.
