According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of tin plate totaled 12,808 mt in October, up 6.2 percent from September and up 39.9 percent from October 2016 levels. By value, tin plate exports totaled $8.1 million in October, compared to $7.8 million in the previous month and $5.7 million the same month last year.
The US shipped the most tin plate to India in October with 3,702 mt, compared to 4,079 mt in September and 3,324 mt in October 2016. Other top destinations included Pakistan, with 1,826 mt; Canada, with 1,501 mt; Italy, with 1,461 mt; and Mexico, with 1,217 mt.
