According to delayed final census data from the US Department of Commerce, US imports of standard pipe totaled 54,277 mt in November 2018, down 11.9 percent from October and down 26.1 percent from November 2017 levels. By value, standard pipe imports totaled $58.0 million in November 2018, compared to $62.4 million in the previous month and $65.9 million in the same month last year.
The US imported the most standard pipe from Canada in November, with 11,606 mt, compared to 11,799 mt in October. Other top sources of imported standard pipe in November include Turkey, with 5,551 mt; Vietnam, with 5,475 mt; UAE, with 4,757 mt; Oman, with 4,585 mt; and Korea, with 3,883 mt.
