Baker Hughes has reported that for the week ending November 22, the US rotary rig count decreased by three to 803 rigs following an 11-rig decrease the week before. The number of rigs drilling for gas remained level at 129, while the number of rigs drilling for oil decreased by three to 671. The overall rig count is now down by 276 rigs in a year-on-year comparison.
Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count increased by three to 137 rigs in the week ending November 22, following a six-rig decrease the week before. The Canadian rig count is now down by 67 rigs compared to the same week a year ago.
