Baker Hughes has reported that for the week ending Nov. 17, 2023, the US rotary rig count increased by two to 618.
The number of rigs drilling for gas decreased by four to 114, while the number of rigs drilling for oil increased by six to 500. The overall US rig count is down by 164 rigs in a year-on-year comparison.
Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count decreased by three to 196 rigs in the week ending Nov. 17. The Canadian rig count is down by five rigs compared to the same reporting period last year.
