Baker Hughes has reported that for the week ending June 2, 2023, the US rotary rig count declined by 15 rigs to 696.
The number of rigs drilling for gas remained level at 137, while the number of rigs drilling for oil declined by 15 to 555. The overall US rig count is down by 31 rigs in a year-on-year comparison.
Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count increased by 10 to 97 rigs in the week ending June 2. The Canadian rig count is down by 20rigs compared to the same reporting period last year.
