Baker Hughes has reported that for the week ending August 25, 2023, the US rotary rig count declined by 10 rigs to 632.
The number of rigs drilling for gas decreased by two to 115, while the number of rigs drilling for oil decreased by eight to 512. The overall US rig count is down by 133 rigs in a year-on-year comparison.
Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count increased by one to 190 rigs in the week ending August 25. The Canadian rig count is down by 11 rigs compared to the same reporting period last year.
