Baker Hughes has reported that for the week ending May 26, 2023, the US rotary rig count declined by nine rigs to 711.
The number of rigs drilling for gas decreased by four to 137, while the number of rigs drilling for oil declined by five to 570. The overall US rig count is down by 16 rigs in a year-on-year comparison.
Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count increased by two to 87 rigs in the week ending May 26. The Canadian rig count is down by 16 rigs compared to the same reporting period last year.
