Baker Hughes reported that for the week ending November 8, the US rig count increased by 12 to 1,754, following a four-rig increase the previous week. However, the rig count is still down by 52 from 1,806 rigs during the same week a year ago. The oil rig count increased by seven to 1,383 whereas the gas rig count increased by five to 365.
Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count declined by 16 in the week ending November 18 to reach 378, following a 10-rig increase the week before. Still, the Canadian rig count was up eight from 370 rigs during the same week a year ago.
