US rebar exports down 32.2 percent in November

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of rebar totaled 11,195 mt in November 2018, down 32.2 percent from October and down 73.9 percent from November 2017 levels. By value, rebar exports totaled $7.9 million in November, compared to $11.5 million in the previous month and $28.3 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most rebar to Canada in November with 8,657 mt, compared to 11,357 mt in October and 38,339 mt in November 2017. Other destinations included Dominican Republic, with 1,217 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US rebar exports in November.
