US pipemakers file AD and CVD petition against steel pipe from China

Early Thursday, a coalition of US pipe producers filed an antidumping and countervailing duty petition against circular welded carbon quality steel pipe from China. Products include standard and structural grades, A53 and A500.

The petitioners include Sharon Tube Company, IPSCO Tubulars Inc., Allied Tube & Conduit, Northwest Pipe Company, Western Tube & Conduit Corporation, Wheatland Tube Company, and United Steelworkers.

The US ITC will conduct its staff conference in this investigation on June 28, and will make its preliminary determination by July 23.
