According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) totaled 15,255 mt in July 2018, down 46.3 percent from June and down 38.8 percent from July 2017 levels. By value, OCTG exports totaled $32.9 million in July, compared to $56.9 million in the previous month and $41.3 million the same month last year.
The US shipped the most OCTG to Canada in July with 10,450 mt, compared to 19,354 mt in June and 19,134 mt in July 2017. Other top destinations included Mexico, with 1,283 mt. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US OCTG exports in July.
