US OCTG exports down 22.9 percent in July

According to export data from the US Department of Commerce, US exports of oil country tubular goods (OCTG) totaled 16,326 mt in July 2023, down 22.9 percent from June and down 14.7 percent from July 2022. By value, OCTG exports totaled $37.4 million in July, compared to $49.0 million in the previous month and $42.7 million the same month last year.

The US shipped the most OCTG to Canada in July with 12,721 mt, compared to 15,178 mt in June and 12,704 mt in July 2022. There were no other significant destinations (1,000 mt or more) for US OCTG exports in July.
