The Turkish Steel Exporters' Association (CIB) has stated that, according to its US-based market sources, large diameter (LD) line pipe producers in the US are getting prepared to request an antidumping (AD) duty investigation on large diameter line pipe imports.

According to the CIB, the products may fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7304.19.90.00, 7305.11.00.00, 7305.12.00.00 and 7305.19.00.00. Meanwhile, Turkey is expected to be involved in the case if an investigation is initiated.

The CIB also stated that, in recent months, the American Line Pipe Producers Association (ALPPA), which represents local producers including Stupp, American Steel Pipe, Berg Pipe and DuraBond Industries, has also said that better protection is needed against imports from foreign countries.
