On January 5, 2007, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) voted to expedite its five-year review (“sunset”) concerning the antidumping duty order on clad steel
plate imported from
Japan.
As a result of the voting, the ITC has decided to conduct an expedited sunset review to determine whether the revocation of the order would likely lead to a continuation or recurrence of material injury to US domestic industries.
Interested parties are requested to submit their comments on the ITC's decision. Generally, 95 days after the initiation of the review the ITC determines whether the responses indicate adequate interest in a full review. If the responses are adequate, the ITC will conduct a full review, which includes public hearings and questionnaires.
