US ITC rules Chinese and Mexican wire not injuring US

Tuesday, 24 April 2012 02:25:58 (GMT+3)   |

The United States International Trade Commission (US ITC) determined Monday that the US industry is not materially injured or threatened with material injury by reason of imports of galvanized steel wire from China that the US Department of Commerce (DOC) has determined are subsidized, and from China and Mexico that the DOC earlier determined are sold in the US at less than fair value. The vote was four to two.

As a result of the US ITC's negative determinations, no antidumping or countervailing duty orders will be issued on imports of these products from China and Mexico.
