US International Trade Commission (ITC) issued its final determination in the countervailing duty (CVD) investigation against circular welded carbon quality steel line pipe from China.

The ITC voted unanimously in the affirmative, with three of the six Commissioners basing their affirmative determinations on findings of present material injury, and the remaining three Commissioners basing their determinations on findings of threat of material injury. The ITC's affirmative vote will lead to the US Department of Commerce (DOC) issuing a CVD order.

Therefore, ITC found that US industry was materially injured or threatened by reason of imports of circular welded carbon quality steel line pipe from China, for in subheadings 7306.19.10 and 7306.19.51 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, that were found to be subsidized by China.

The ITC is scheduled to make its final determination in the antidumping investigation of circular welded carbon-quality steel line pipe from China some time next month.
