US DOC sets dumping duties on Mexican structural pipe and tube

The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has made its preliminary determinations in the second administrative review of the antidumping order against light-walled rectangular pipe and tube from Mexico.

The review covers two Mexican producers/exporters during the period from August 1, 2009 through July 31, 2010.

The preliminary dumping margins are as follows:

(a) Maquilacero S.A. de C.V.--0.80 percent
(b) Regiomontana de Perfiles y Tubos S.A. de C.V.--4.57 percent

The Department also announced that it is rescinding this review with respect to Nacional de Acero S.A. de C.V. (Nacional) and Productos Laminados de Monterrey S.A. de C.V. (Prolamsa).  Both of these companies submitted and then withdrew their requests to be reviewed.  Because the Petitioners did not request a review of either company, the Department will terminate the review with respect to Nacional and Prolamsa.

The DOC plans to complete this review within 120 days of publication of these preliminary results, or by January 2012.  The current dumping duty deposit rates will remain in effect until the DOC's final results are published in the Federal Register.
