The US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced Friday the final results of its expedited sunset review of countervailing duty (CVD) order on oil country tubular goods (OCTG) from China.

The DOC made an affirmative determination, finding that revocation of the order would be likely to lead to the continuation or recurrence of subsidies.

The DOC previously made an affirmative determination in its expedited review of the antidumping (AD) order on OCTG from China.

The US International Trade Commission (ITC) is also conducting an expedited sunset review of these orders.  The ITC’s decision to conduct an expedited review virtually guarantees that it will also make an affirmative determination, which means that the orders will remain in effect for a further period of five years.
