The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced that it is extending the time limit for the preliminary result of its administrative review of the antidumping (AD) order against welded carbon steel standard pipe from India. The review covers the following 10 Indian producers during the period from May 1, 2008 through April 30, 2009:

Lloyds Metals and Engineers Limited
Lloyds Steel Industries Limited
Jindal Industries Ltd.
Maharashtra Seamless Limited
Jindal Pipes Limited
Makalu Trading Pvt. Ltd.
Ratnamani Metals Tubes Ltd.
Universal Tube and Plastic Ind.
Ushdev International Ltd.
Uttam Galva Steels Ltd.

The new deadline for the preliminary results of this review is May 3, 2010. The previous deadline was January 31, 2010.

The DOC stated that the reason for the extension was to allow it additional time to analyze a number of complex cost-accounting and corporate-affiliation issues that have been raised by the parties to this review.
