On September 14, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced in the Federal Register the preliminary results of its countervailing duty (CVD) administrative review regarding corrosion-resistant carbon steel flat products from South Korea.
The administrative review covers the period from January 1, 2008, through December 31, 2008.
As a result of withdrawals of request for review, the DOC has decided to rescind the CVD review in part, with respect to Dongbu Steel Co., Ltd. (Dongbu) and Pohang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. (POSCO). The institution has determined the net subsidy rate for Hyundai HYSCO Ltd to be 0.07 percent ad valorem, a de minimis rate.
