US DOC: Final results of AD review on flat products from Japan

Monday, 17 July 2006 13:48:23 (GMT+3)   |
On May 11, 2006, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) published the preliminary results of an antidumping duty administrative review on certain corrosion-resistant carbon steel flat products imported from Japan. Accordingly, the DOC decided to rescind the review with respect to Kawasaki Steel Corporation since the producer did not ship the subject merchandise to the US during period review, which is August 1, 2004, through July 31, 2005. On the other hand, the DOC found that sales of subject merchandise sold by Nippon Steel Corporation were made at less than normal value. The preliminary dumping margin determined for Nippon Steel was 36.41 percent. Upon receiving no comment on the preliminary results, the DOC decided not to make any changes in the final results. Accordingly, the final results of this review do not differ from the preliminary results.
