U.S. buyers trying to beat S201

Reportedly, some U.S. end-users are contacting stockists in the UK to obtain importing part-processed steel products to beat price hikes and tariffs from the Section 201 (S201) ruling. Sources say that U.S. buyers are seeking slit coil, a product that might end up becoming exempt. So far, no deals have been reported as definite. Insiders do indicate that if prices in the U.S. market continue to climb that some UK stockists could export added value products that were not good buys before.
