Baker Hughes has reported that for the week ending March 17, 2023, the US rotary rig count increased by eight to 754 rigs.
The number of rigs drilling for gas increased by nine to 162, while the number of rigs drilling for oil decreased by one to 589. The overall US rig count is up by 91 rigs in a year-on-year comparison.
Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count decreased by 16 to 207 rigs in the week ending March 17. The Canadian rig count is up by 31 rigs compared to the same reporting period last year.
