Baker Hughes has reported that for the week ending Sept. 1, 2023, the US rotary rig count declined by one rig to 631.
The number of rigs drilling for gas decreased by one to 114, while the number of rigs drilling for oil remained unchanged at 512. The overall US rig count is down by 129 rigs in a year-on-year comparison.
Meanwhile, the Canadian rig count decreased by three to 187 rigs in the week ending Sept. 1. The Canadian rig count is down by 21 rigs compared to the same reporting period last year.
