Ukrainian steel pipe producer makes investment

Nyzhniodniprovsky Steel Pipe Plant, one of Ukraine's largest producers of steel pipes, disclosed that the company will invest $410 million to establish a steel-smelting facility. The new steel-smelting facility will have an annual production capacity of around 1.30 million tons. The project will allow the company to replace energy-intensive production with advanced process of electric-steel-smelting.
