Ukrainian mini-mill PKP Metallist commissions new pipe mill

Ukrainian mini-mill PKP Metallist, which is specialized in the production of high quality electro-welded, rounded and profile pipes, has announced the successful startup of its new pipe mill LM 70 HF.

The new pipe mill will allow PKP Metallist to produce electric-welded steel pipes with diameter from 18 mm to 76 mm, with wall thickness from 1.0 mm to 4.5 mm, and also to manufacture square and rectangular hollow section pipes in sizes up to 60 x 60 mm and 80 x 40 mm respectively.

Moreover, on December 15, PKP Metallist also recommissioned its pipe mill 10-15, after major repair work. Up to the end of December, the mill was expected to produce about 500 mt of pipe products.
