According to the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine, in the first half of the current year Ukraine did not export any steel scrap, while in the same period of last year the country had exported 315,839 mt of scrap worth a total of $131.973 million.
Meanwhile, in the January-June period this year Ukraine's scrap imports increased by 2.4 times year on year to 103,651 mt, worth a total of $41.281 million, up 61.2 percent compared to the same period of 2012.
