Ukraine’s scrap exports rises 41.1 percent in January-October

According to the data released by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, in the January-October period this year Ukraine exported 1.12 million mt of scrap, up 41.1 percent compared to the January-October period last year, worth a total of $269.3 million, up 6.4 percent year on year.
 
The exports in terms of value mostly went to Turkey (79.10 percent) and Moldova (19.36 percent).
 
In the January-October period this year, Ukraine’s steel scrap imports declined by 92.2 percent to 2,154 mt, worth a total $2.26 million, down by 83.8 percent, both year on year.
 
The import in terms of value mostly came from Turkey (93.81 percent) and Moldova (3.89 percent).
