Ukraine to export 1.2 million mt of scrap in 2015

According to Ukrainian state-run company "Ukrainian Industrial External Expertize", Ukraine will export around 1.2 million mt of scrap in 2015.

Scrap prices in Ukraine may rise by an average of three percent year on year to around UAH 2,900/mt in 2015. Metal companies will be able to substitute scrap with pig iron that is becoming cheaper, and this would also affect scrap prices. Average annual prices for HMS I/II 80:20 scrap will be at $334/mt CIF Turkey in 2015, down by eight percent year on year.
