Ukraine's pig iron and steel outputs increase in H1

According to the preliminary data disclosed by Ukrmetallurgprom, in the January-June period of the current year Ukraine-based steel mills produced 10.86 million mt of crude steel and 9.6 million of finished steel, up 7.5 percent and up 6.6 percent, respectively, both year on year.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s pig iron output in the given period amounted to 10.8 million mt, rising by 8.1 percent year on year, SteelOrbis has learned.
