Ukraine’s industrial production increases by 11.5 percent in October

In October this year, Ukraine's industrial production growth amounted to more than 11.5 percent, Ukraine's Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said, adding that the country's gross domestic product (GDP) is expected to indicate growth of five percent in the first 10 months of 2010.

The pace of recovery of industrial production in Ukraine in September 2010 compared to the same month in 2009 accelerated to 10.2 percent, from 9.2 percent year-on-year in August, 6.4 percent in July, and 8.9 percent in June.

In the first nine months of this year, the country's industrial production grew by 10.8 percent compared to the same period last year, while in the first eight months its growth reached 10.9 percent, while amounting to 11.1 percent in the first seven months.

In 2009, Ukraine's industrial production dropped by 21.9 percent year on year.
