Industrial production in Ukraine rises by 4.9 percent in April

Industrial production in Ukraine increased by 4.9 percent in April this year compared to the same period of 2010, but was down 4.8 percent compared to March.

Ukrainian metallurgical output in April this year increased by 3.1 percent compared with the same period last year, while the output volume in the Ukrainian engineering industry rose by 13.6 percent year on year. In the given month, the volume of output in the chemical industry in Ukraine increased by 13.9 percent compared with April 2010, and the output volume in the Ukrainian mining industry rose by 3.8 percent year on year.
