Ukraine sees decline in finished steel output

Ukraine's finished steel output rose 0.2 percent month on month to 2.95 million metric tons in December 2005. According to the reports, Mariupol Metal Works increased finished steel production 10.9 percent to 525,700 metric tons in December while production at Azovstal rose 11 percent to 487,900 metric tons. On the other hand, Krivorozhstal's production fell 13.3 percent to 508,600 metric tons.
